BARTENDER TRAINING

NQF Level: 3
Duration: 4 weeks

On successful completion of this unit standard ,the learner will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of:

  • Providing drink service information in accordance with sun international standard operating procedure.
  • Explaining the consequences of selling alcohol to under age or intoxicated persons.
  • Describing the range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in the establishment regarding price, drink volumes, sizes or quantities, accompaniments and specials.

BANQUET SERVER

NQF Level: 3
Duration: 4 weeks

All skills programmes are registered as level 2 although the individual unit standards contained in the skills programmes vary in credit value you will be able to:

  • Follow banquets event orders.
  • Folds napkins.
  • Skirts and flouces tables.
  • Sets tables for banquets.
  • Takes and serves beverage orders.
  • Serves wine and champagne by the bottle.
  • Maintain tables during service.
  • Maintain Buffets.

LAUNDRY ATTENDANT

NQF Level: 3
Duration: 4 Weeks

On successful completion of this unit standard, the learner will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding by:

  • Stating measures the receiving and linen areas from unauthorized Access.
  • Stressing the importance of providing a safe working environment by ensuring receiving and storage areas are kept clean and tidy at all time.

EVENTS SUPPORT

NQF Level: 4
Duration: 4 Weeks

On successful completion of this unit standard, the learner will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding by:

  • Determining the logistically requirements applicable to an event.
  • Determining the logistical requirements for an event, as it applies to the event scope and plan (Type of arrangements required, time frame for arrangement, communication requirements, date time and venue for the event).

FRONT DESK AGENT

NQF Level: 5
Duration: 6 Weeks

This hospitality skills programmes support skill and knowledge integrated with performance assessment. After completion of the course you will be able to :

  • Use property management system.
  • Initiate guest check in.
  • Identify features of the quest room.
  • Relocate guest in sold out situation.

CHEF

Duration: 3 Months

  • Maintain effective working relationships with other members of staff.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain hygiene in food preparation, cooking & storage area.
  • Handle and maintain knives.
